The workshop will be held at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUI Galway) in the west of Ireland. Talks and registration will be held in the Arts Millennium building as shown on the maps at the end of this page. Most international airlines fly to Dublin or Shannon, from where you can travel by bus or car to Galway (or by train from Dublin City). Alternatively, you can fly to any of the airports with connecting flights to the smaller Galway Airport, more details are given below. Both Aer Arann and British Airways (Logan Air) fly to Galway Airport from a number of airports in the UK and from Dublin, Ireland. Aer Arann fly to and from Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, London Luton, Lorient and Dublin. Logain Air fly to and from Glasgow. Aer Lingus offers the widest choice of services into and out of Shannon. You can visit their site at aerlingus.com. The budget traveller may wish to use Ryanair.
Knock Airport - Web - Phone +353 94 9367222 The next nearest airport to Galway after Shannon is Knock International Airport in County Mayo. It is about 1h35m from Galway City by road. There are less flights on offer to Knock, but Ryanair does offer regular services from the UK. Dublin Airport - Web - Phone +353 1 8866705
Again, Aer Lingus or Ryanair operate many flights to Dublin. For travel by air onwards to Galway, you can proceed to the Transfer Desk for further instructions.
