Since April 2005, I have been working at the Digital Enterprise Research Institute based in the National University of Ireland, Galway. Currently, I am a PhD student within the Unit for Reasoning and Querying, co-supervised by Axel Polleres and Stefan Decker and funded by an IRCSET (Irish governmental funding agency) postgraduate scholarship.
My general research interest is the Semantic Web and Linked Data, with specific interest in developing large-scale and pragmatic applications and techniques for handling large amounts (billions of statements) of RDF Web data.
My current PhD research revolves around scalable techniques for using the semantics and statistics inherent in large RDF Web crawls to enhance the data—in terms of cleanliness, inter-linkage, consolidation, materialising reasoned data, etc.—for later consumption by applications.
