Hi, I'm Aidan. This is my "professional" homepage.
I have been working at the Digital Enterprise Research Institute based in the National University of Ireland, Galway since April 2005. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher within the Unit for Reasoning and Querying.
My general research interest is the Semantic Web and Linked Data, with specific interest in developing large-scale and pragmatic applications and techniques for handling large amounts (billions of statements) of RDF Web data.
My (recently completed) PhD research revolved around scalable techniques for using the semantics and statistics inherent in large Linked Data corpora to smooth out heterogeneity—in particular, performing consolidation and reasoning materialisation techniques, etc.—preparing the crawl for later consumption by applications.
